If your mum planned more of your wedding than you did
You’ve probably got some time off to look forward to after your wedding – a honeymoon, to relax in the sun, or a staycation to de-stress on the couch – but your mum doesn’t. If she’s been more stressed planning the big day than you have, the best thank you might be encouraging some self-care with a pamper kit. (Or else bringing her on honeymoon with you. Your call.)
How to make it
You’ll know what your mother likes best, but you can’t go wrong with some face masks, bubble bath, candles, chocolate, and cozy socks, lovingly popped in a gift box. (Yes. We’re back on the gift box.)
The price will vary depending on what brands you’re buying, but you should be able to make something your mum will really appreciate for around £25.
If lugging a box of lotions and potions around isn’t going to work at your wedding, you could give her a voucher to a spa instead – but try to get a date she’s free in advance and book it for her. Open-ended vouchers have a funny way of ending up lost in the back of a drawer until the expiry date has passed.
Cost of supplies
The cost really comes down to what brands you want to buy, but looking at some nice, middle of the road options, you can get face masks, like Montagne Jeunesse, for £1 per pack at Sainsbury’s, a lovely bubble bath from Marks and Spencers for £3, a tin candle for £4 on Amazon, a box of Ferrero Rocher for £4, and socks for £5 at Accessorize. Together with a gift box, you should be able to make a fantastic pamper kit for £25.
